Objective

Belharra Therapeutics, Inc., a privately held drug discovery company pioneering a novel photoaffinity-based chemoproteomics platform to disrupt the drug discovery paradigm, emerged from stealth in January 2023 with a Series A and partnership announcement. They needed to continue to build brand awareness for recruitment and additional fundraising to deliver on their goal to redefine what is possible for patients.

Process

Intake & Discovery: We conducted internal SME interviews and conducted research on Belharra’s competitors to gain a better understanding of their brand and industry.

Brand Positioning Development: Using the understandings from the SME discovery interviews, we developed a brand messaging matrix that included their mission, vision, value proposition, brand promise, target audience, and brand pillars.

Competitor Analysis: Using the insights from competitors’ websites and social media, we developed a competitor messaging analysis as well as a competitor website analysis to determine how Belharra can differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

Website: Using the approved messaging matrix, we developed content for the website and worked closely with Belharra on design and development of the website.

Employer Brand Video: After launch of website and announcement of their Series A & partnership, we conducted a video shoot which included interviews and b-roll footage, edited and launched several versions of an employer brand video including a full-length version and smaller themed snippets for social media.

Results

Belharra has been quickly and successfully building their brand awareness over the last year and as a result, have gained 2,000+ new followers on LinkedIn since coming out of stealth in January of 2023. They have been receiving regular interviews and other mentions from well-known biotech publications over the past several months, which has significantly increased their visibility in the marketplace. Regular updates to the website help keep it fresh and relevant and helps to raise continued awareness of who they are to uniquely position them for the future.
